Oris produced the Coulson Limited Edition in partnership with 9T Labs, using a process developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich that prints carbon fibre and PEKK, a polymer used in aerospace construction, simultaneously. The resulting material is ultralight, extremely rigid and allows precise control over the finished carbon fibre patterns on the surface. PVD-coated titanium handles the bezel, caseback and crown, its coin-edge bezel profile referencing the pattern of a jet engine. At 65 grams for the complete watch head, the case weighs considerably less than almost anything else in this session. Water resistance holds to 100 metres.
The gradient orange to red dial pays direct tribute to Coulson Aviation's work: the organisation, founded in 1960, is the world's leading aerial firefighting company, and its pilots fly toward exactly the colour the dial displays. Luminous Arabic numerals and hands carry the pilot's instrument aesthetic, with a printed minute and seconds track running the outer rim. The date sits at three o'clock. Calibre 400 drives the watch, Oris's own in-house automatic movement with a silicon escape wheel and anchor providing antimagnetic resistance. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, accurate to -3/+5 seconds per day, with a five-day power reserve across 120 hours. Oris backs the movement with a 10-year recommended service interval, extendable to a 10-year warranty with MyOris registration. A leather strap closes with a PVD titanium folding clasp, keeping the warm metal tone consistent with the case's crown and caseback.
This ProPilot Coulson Limited Edition, Reference 01 400 7784 8786-Set, has no visible scratches and is in very good condition. The leather strap remains well-maintained.
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos. Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card. A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements. We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
