At 9.3mm thick, the case sits beneath a cuff without interruption. Water resistance holds to 30 metres, enough for daily life and nothing more ambitious.

The silver-plated dial carries applied index and Roman numeral hour markers in polished steel, the two types alternating in a configuration that references Italian watchmaking aesthetics from the mid-20th century. Leaf-shaped hour and minute hands sweep across the surface, their profile the Portofino's most consistent visual signature across decades of production. A minute track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals and a date display at three o'clock are the only additional elements. Calibre 35111 drives the watch automatically at 28,800 vibrations per hour across 25 jewels and 163 components. Central hacking seconds allow precise time setting, and power reserve holds to 42 hours. The movement sits behind a solid caseback, the watch's architecture directed entirely outward rather than through it. A black alligator leather strap closes with a stainless steel pin buckle, its width matching the 40mm case proportions throughout.
